135 - 145 Dudley Street

This mixed-use development in the heart of Nubian Square significantly enhances the public realm through the creation of vibrant, people-focused outdoor spaces. The project introduces a new Nubian Plaza directly opposite the bus station and adjacent to the existing library plaza, strengthening connections between key civic destinations and creating a welcoming gateway to the neighborhood.

A second public plaza anchors the west end of the site, providing additional space for gathering and everyday use. Both plazas are designed with generous planting beds featuring new shade trees and layered shrub plantings, creating comfortable, inviting environments for rest, socializing, and enjoyment throughout the seasons.

At Nubian Plaza, a dynamic waterwall feature serves as a visual focal point and an engaging backdrop, adding movement, sound, and identity to the space. A curated mix of benches, bike racks, decorative paving, and new site lighting supports both day-to-day use and evening activity, while enhancing safety and character.

Active ground-floor retail, along with residential condominiums and apartments above, brings consistent energy to the plazas, ensuring these spaces remain lively, welcoming, and well-integrated into the daily rhythm of Nubian Square.
