Elevating Roslindale Square Through Thoughtful Landscape Design

At 4259-4267 Washington Street, we are creating more than just a residential building—we’re shaping a vibrant public realm that connects residents and the community. Our landscape design approach enhances the streetscape, celebrates outdoor gathering spaces, and introduces green, engaging places for people to linger, meet, and enjoy.

A Streetscape that Welcomes
Along Washington Street, our design follows Boston Complete Streets guidelines, transforming the frontage into a lively pedestrian-friendly environment. Thoughtfully placed plantings, seating, and paving patterns create a sense of arrival, while bike accommodations and well-planned furnishings support everyday life in the square.

Outdoor Spaces for Connection
The building’s ground-level amenity plaza invites both residents and neighbors to enjoy outdoor seating, greenery, and subtle lighting. Carefully designed plantings, pathways, and seating areas foster social interaction and create a memorable, approachable public space.

Rooftop Retreats
On the 6th floor, residents will enjoy a rooftop deck designed as a serene urban escape. Green roofs, planter arrangements, and curated outdoor furnishings provide a space for relaxation, gatherings, and city views—all designed with comfort and sustainability in mind.

Our approach to landscape design ensures that Phase 1 of this project does more than provide housing—it enhances the neighborhood, supports urban life, and creates outdoor spaces that people love.
