Verdant is working with Colony Retirement Homes and Prellwitz Chilinski Associates to transform and modernize an existing senior living community in Worcester, Massachusetts. The design team is taking a phased approach to both the design and construction of four new buildings, which in the end, will be connected. The landscape design focuses on meeting the needs of the residents, whether it be through creating spaces for leisure or by adding sensory plantings. The redevelopment project also aims to help mitigate Worcester’s historic tree canopy loss by adding new, native tree species.
